South West Cumbria United Area (Methodist and URC) 

In September 2010 we formally became a United Area.  This area is made up of 9 Methodist Churches and 3 URC Churches.  There is also one joint Methodist URC church, Trinity Church Centre which was formed by three churches uniting to worship God together.

The area covered spans from Millom in the 'north' to Walney Island in the 'south'.  This group of churches is served by three full time ministers, one Methodist and one URC (the third alternates between Methodist and URC).  We also are priveliged to benefit from the ministries of two 'part-time' ministers, one Methodist and one URC, who serve within our Churches as well as having other full time jobs.
